CAR has been organizing and meeting since June, 2023 with the members of the Old Fourth Ward Displaced Persons group that includes residents, business owners and their descendants harmed by Urban Renewal policies. CAR has intentionally focused on engaging the members' voices by conducting listening sessions and regular meetings to name potential reparative demands and engaging the affected church communities of the Old Fourth Ward – St. Philips and First Baptist. Atonement can only be achieved by including these collective voices harmed by the injustice of Urban Renewal in Annapolis.
